Creative Play
We do lots of arts & crafts to help with fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and creativity. We have free play for children to engage with toys they like, and we also offer a variety of music and dance activities for children to find multiple ways to express themselves.
Numeracy
We help children to develop early numeracy skills and practical maths. We use a range of activities to keep children active and engaged in learning about numbers.
Literacy
We work to foster a love of language in children. We encourage story time both in our setting and through trips to the local library. Our activities focus on developing children's motor skills and letter recognition, laying the foundation for writing. By the time children leave us, we strive to have them confidently writing their own name.
Science & the Natural World
At our setting, we believe in the importance of connecting children with nature. That's why we take them on weekly trips to explore the beautiful parks in the area and learn about the wildlife and natural environment. We also engage them in activities such as recycling and milk sessions to help them understand and respect the natural world.
Physical Play
We keep the children active throughout the day, with them enjoying at least 2-3 hours of outside play both inside and outside the setting. Out garden has plenty of toys to give the children lots of opportunities to have fun and stretch their legs.
Cultural Awareness
We celebrate diversity at our setting and help children to grow their awareness of key festivals and take part in community visits.
Social Skills
We foster social skills both within our setting and by building children's confidence outside the setting. We use trips out to expand their horizons and get them use to different situations.
